It sounds like such an easy question, but maybe it isn’t. Internet enabled televisions is a television that connects directly to your local Internet connection. Users can connect their televisions either with wi-fi or through a ethernet cable hooked up to the router.
The perk of an internet enabled television set is that owners can use them as computer monitors. The television sets can be connected to your computer or laptop and used as a monitor. Users can stream media from their computer using this method to their television. Some televisions come already pre-programmed to stream specific product using an Internet connection to the TV.
Internet Enabled HDTV sets also have the capability to incorporate applications, like your iPhone or Android telephone. Most of these apps allow you to stream content to your television from providers such as Amazon.com, Hulu, You Tube, Vudu, Sony, and of course Netflix. Pandora and several other providers also offer streaming music to your television, the same as your telephone. Most of the video applications do have some kind of fee attached.
[ad#ad1]It is important when shopping for an Internet TV to read the specs. Some HDTVs can connect to the Internet simply through a wireless connection. Of course this would require that you have a wireless router. Other sets require you to connect using an ethernet cable, which would connect to your router or modem. Some televisions are sold as Wifi enabled, but you would be required to purchase a separate Wifi adapter. Make sure you know what you are getting, because you don’t want to get home without the proper equipment.
