There are more HD television choices than ever when it comes to buying these technological beauties. But knowing the differences between Internet Enabled TV of your choice can save you money and disappointment.

The wonderful thing about Internet HDTV sets is that they are a ton of options for you to choose when purchasing your television. In the end it really comes down to what is important to you. Do you want to stream You Tube to your television? Do you want to stream Netflix to your television? Are you more interested in the quality of your HD picture than what you can stream online to your television? It is really important to understand these differences before you shell out the big bucks and buy an Internet enabled HDTV.

Panasonic VIERA HDTVs offer a variety of options. These Panasonic Internet enabled televisions can range in price from $300-$5000+. The VIERA allows you to set up an account with Amazon Video On Demand and stream movies directly to your television. You can also stream videos from You Tube to your HDTV. Picasa photo albums are easy to access as well for your picture collection. Skype also comes preinstalled and ready to use on the VIERA CAST. How cool is that?

Buy Panasonic VIERA HDTV sets on Amazon.com

Samsung Internet enabled televisions offer a ton of free apps. Vudu, Pandora, Netflix, Twitter, You Tube, Accu Weather, USA Today, Daily Motion and Blockbuster are just some of the cool apps you can access with your Samsung HDTV. They even have a very popular Texas Hold ‘Em app.

Buy Samsung Internet televisions on Amazon.com

Sony BRAVIA Internet televisions offer a robust amount of options. New televisions come equipped with Google Chrome so you can search the Internet with your television. Go to Hulu and stream shows directly to your television using Chrome. Speaking of which, Google TV also comes installed on your new Internet HDTV. Sony also has apps including an NBA app, Pandora, and Twitter but don’t come close to the amount of apps offered by Samsung.

Buy Sony BRAVIA Internet enabled HDTVs on Amazon.com

LG Internet enabled televisions are similar, but they do not allow you to stream from Amazon Video On Demand. However, you can stream from Netflix which in some cases is much better. Other apps include; Vudu, Napster, Skype and Yahoo! Widgets.

Buy LG Internet enabled HDTV on Amazon.com

Some Vizio Internet enabled HDTV sets come with built in wireless Internet access and Bluetooth remote and offers a slide out QWERTY keyboard. That is very appealing in my opinion. VIZIO owners can also stream Netflix directly on their Vizio television.

Buy Sony VIZIO Internet televisions on Amazon.com

As you can see there are many similarities, yet some noticeable differences between the popular Internet televisions on the market today. Like with most technology, this can change tomorrow and there are plenty of blogs that report on some stunning advancements coming in 2011. The bottom line here is that you really can’t go wrong by purchasing an Internet enabled HDTV. At the end of the day I think it comes down to the best deal and what matters most to you.

It sounds like such an easy question, but maybe it isn’t. Internet enabled televisions is a television that connects directly to your local Internet connection. Users can connect their televisions either with wi-fi or through a ethernet cable hooked up to the router.

The perk of an internet enabled television set is that owners can use them as computer monitors. The television sets can be connected to your computer or laptop and used as a monitor. Users can stream media from their computer using this method to their television. Some televisions come already pre-programmed to stream specific product using an Internet connection to the TV.

Internet Enabled HDTV sets also have the capability to incorporate applications, like your iPhone or Android telephone. Most of these apps allow you to stream content to your television from providers such as Amazon.com, Hulu, You Tube, Vudu, Sony, and of course Netflix. Pandora and several other providers also offer streaming music to your television, the same as your telephone. Most of the video applications do have some kind of fee attached.

<!--

It is important when shopping for an Internet TV to read the specs. Some HDTVs can connect to the Internet simply through a wireless connection. Of course this would require that you have a wireless router. Other sets require you to connect using an ethernet cable, which would connect to your router or modem. Some televisions are sold as Wifi enabled, but you would be required to purchase a separate Wifi adapter. Make sure you know what you are getting, because you don’t want to get home without the proper equipment.

Of the new Internet enabled televisions, this one seems to be the easiest to connect and has an outstanding picture. Some of the television specs from Amazon.com are…

VIZIO Internet AppsTM

Built-in WiFi 802.11n

1080p Full HD with Razor LEDTM backlighting

50,000 to 1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio

SRS TruVolumeTM and SRS TruSurroundHDTM audio

The television is really easy to connect to the Internet via the wireless via the built-in WiFi (802.11n). Quite frankling that is my favorite feature of the M220NV. 1080p HD for sports, movies, or video games makes this a television you should probably snap up. The price is a bargain currently at $249.
